Hutchinson Tundra 700x40 Gravel Tyre

Take your gravel riding further with the Hutchinson Tundra 700x40 Gravel Tyre, designed for riders who want to tackle technical trails, loose gravel, mud and wet conditions without sacrificing efficiency on harder surfaces.

The Tundra was developed specifically around the increasing technicality of modern gravel riding. Its open tread pattern provides additional space for mud clearance, while the central tread is designed to maintain efficient rolling when your route moves back onto hard-packed gravel and connecting roads.

The tread design takes inspiration from Hutchinson's MTB experience, with pronounced side knobs providing support when cornering across loose and off-camber terrain. The tyre is designed to provide traction through mud, greasy roots, loose descents and technical gravel, making it particularly well suited to year-round adventure riding.

The 700x40 version uses a 127 TPI casing, bi-compound rubber and Tubeless Ready construction. The Hardskin version features bead-to-bead textile reinforcement for additional puncture resistance and is available with tan sidewalls. Hutchinson lists this version at approximately 490g.

For riders looking for a 40mm gravel tyre capable of handling British and Scottish weather, the Tundra offers an excellent balance of grip, durability, comfort and rolling efficiency.
