The SCOTT Strike 40 eRIDE 2027 in Quarry Grey, is a capable full-suspension electric mountain bike designed for riders who want to explore further, climb with less effort and enjoy confident handling on technical trails.

Built around an alloy 4-Link suspension frame, the Strike 40 combines 150mm of front and rear suspension with Bosch Performance Line CX drive technology and a large 720Wh PowerTube battery.

Bosch Performance Line CX

At the heart of the Strike 40 is the Bosch Performance Line CX drive unit.

Designed for demanding e-MTB riding, the Bosch CX motor provides powerful assistance for steep climbs, technical sections and longer mountain rides.

SCOTT lists the Strike 40 with Bosch Performance Line CX and a Bosch Smart System, giving riders access to the connected Bosch eBike ecosystem.

The motor is also compatible with the Bosch Performance Upgrade, with SCOTT listing support for up to 120Nm of torque.

720Wh Bosch PowerTube Battery

The Strike 40 features a large 720Wh Bosch PowerTube battery.

The integrated battery provides substantial capacity for longer rides and repeated climbs, making the Strike 40 well suited to extended trail sessions and mountain adventures.

The frame is also Bosch PowerMore ready, giving compatible riders the option of adding a Bosch PowerMore range extender for additional battery capacity.

150mm Full Suspension

The Strike 40 uses a 150mm front and rear suspension platform.

Up front is an SR Suntour SF26-XCR 36X 29" air fork, while the rear uses an SR Suntour Edge X shock with rebound adjustment.

The SCOTT 4-Link kinematic suspension design is intended to provide a controlled and comfortable ride while giving the bike the capability needed for technical trail riding.

29-Inch Wheels

The Strike 40 rolls on 29-inch wheels, providing good rollover capability and stability when riding over roots, rocks and uneven terrain.

The bike is fitted with Maxxis Forekaster 29 x 2.4" tyres, giving the Strike 40 a versatile tyre setup suited to trail and all-mountain riding.

Shimano Deore 12-Speed Drivetrain

The Strike 40 uses a Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain.

A 36T FSA direct-mount chainring is paired with a Shimano Deore 10-51T cassette, giving the bike a wide range of gears for both faster trail sections and steep assisted climbs.
